The slot is a position in American football that plays on passing downs and is a pass-catching specialist. In the modern game, great slot receivers must be fast and agile to avoid tackles. They also run deep routes to open up passes underneath them, and they may even get involved in trick plays like end-arounds.
A slot is a dynamic placeholder that either waits for content to be added (passive) or is called upon by a scenario to display its contents (active). Slots are used in conjunction with scenarios and can have several properties which are described in more detail in the Using slots and Scenarios chapter of the Personalization Programming Guide.
Paylines
The pay table on a slot machine explains how many pay lines the game has, and which symbols should land to form a winning combination. This information is normally shown as small tables, often with different colours, which can help players to understand what they need to do in order to win. In addition to payline information, the pay table also usually contains details on any bonus features that the game has, including free spins, pick-style games, sticky wilds and re-spins.
